Downloaded video won't play? What to check

Works on any phone or computer. No app, no account.

Copy the link from the site you're watching, paste it above, pick a quality. On Pornhub, GIFs, photos and albums work as well.

The files PornClipSaver gives you are ordinary MP4s, the format every phone, computer and TV plays. When one won't play, it's almost always one of these six things. Work down the list.

1. The download didn't finish

A download that stopped halfway leaves a file that's too small and won't open, or plays only the start. Signs: Chrome shows Failed or leaves a file ending in .crdownload; Safari leaves one ending in .download. Delete it and download again, with the screen on and on one network. Downloads that stop halfway.

2. You're opening the wrong file

Phones keep everything in Downloads, so an older, broken attempt can sit next to the good one, sometimes named video (1).mp4. Sort Downloads by date and open the newest file, then delete the others.

3. The file is in Files, not in the gallery

On an iPhone, Safari saves to the Files app, not to Photos, and the Photos app won't show it until you move it. On Android, a gallery sometimes takes a moment to notice a new file. Can't find a downloaded video?

4. The player is too old for the quality

An old TV, game console or media box may refuse a high-quality file it can't decode, while the same video in 720p plays fine. Download it again in a lower quality, or play it on your phone or computer instead.

5. Sound but no picture, or picture but no sound

That's the player, not the file: the built-in players of some older Windows versions and TVs lack a decoder. VLC plays any of these files, on every system, for free.

6. It was copied into another app

The download only works in the browser where you pasted the link. A download link sent to another app, or opened in Telegram's, Reddit's or X's own browser, often saves nothing playable. Open PornClipSaver in Safari, Chrome or Samsung Internet and download there.
